Summer Twist hails from the Bay Area.
She attended the University of Colorado at Boulder. There she fell in love with high-altitude climbing and ascended peaks in Nepal, Pakistan, New Zealand, and Peru ascending Huascaran and Asungante.
Summer subsequently spent numerous years in Lake Garda in Northern Italy snowboarding and skiing. She moved to San Diego to work for an internationally renowned yacht design company. Summer has two young daughters raised on the beach of La Jolla.
Summer found the Sanctuary in 2021 August after the struggles of covid. After her time there, she became a member of the Sanctuary Collaborative in the fall of 2021.
In June of 2022, she was hired as a BHT. As her commitment to the Sanctuary family grew, she became the Alumni Coordinator as well as the lead of the Scholarship Fund.
Summer is also a professional pilates instructor at a successful studio in San Diego.
