In addition to being on-campus support staff for residents, Hillary also holds individual healing sessions and facilitates groups including Emotional Intelligence, Be Recovered, Sacred Movement, Connecting with Nature and Spiritual Resources. She is a graduate of the Four Winds Society Healing the Light Body School and she continues to fine-tune her process through their Advanced Mastery Classes and various workshops across the globe.
Hillary’s healing journey through alcoholism and eating disorders began in 2005 as a patient at a well-respected addiction treatment center, followed by an inpatient extended care program. While she abstained from alcohol, was very active in 12-step programs and opened an art gallery in Los Angeles, she continued to play out self-sabotaging patterns. Her life lacked true meaning and the allure of material world solutions lost all shine. Having lost nearly all hope, she fell into a secretive cycle of relapse and entered another well-regarded treatment center. Two lonely, challenging years later, a strong soul yearning and a desire for transformation and deep, sustainable change called her to The Sanctuary where she was guided through the core issues that previously prevented true healing. She also developed a perceptual shift allowing her to flow more freely in her relationships and world, allowing her to see opportunities where before she had only seen obstacles. Hillary’s personal experiences through addiction and dark nights of the soul into living a rich, meaningful, playful life make her a unique, authentic and valuable practitioner at The Sanctuary.
